Narrowing Down The Most Legit Survey Sites to Earn Extra Money From

DISCLAIMER: This article is not sponsored by any company mentioned below. You may find referral links, and Beauty & Bank may earn commission from any referral link(s).

Who doesn’t need extra money? Maybe if you’re sitting on a fortune, but for those who are sitting on a fortune of bills, this one’s for you. Earning some extra money while relaxing in the comfort of your own home right in front of your computer doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all. It may even sound impossible or like a total scam. Yes, there are tons of scams and scammers out there ready to prey on those who just want to make some bill money or beer money. Weeding out the bad guys once and for all seems impractical, but with proper research before signing up for ANYTHING and giving your information to ANYONE, you can definitely save yourself the time and the stress.

Survey sites are created to collect data, demographics & information and opinions from millions of households around the world. You could do surveys on cars, food, magazines, television series, movies, retail stores, amusement parks, health insurance, hotels & so much more. The amount of surveys and the categories out there seem endless. You’ll never know the demographics that these companies need in order to measure the data and feedback for a certain brand or service, so trying out the survey hustle is more than necessary. Luckily I have selected the top 5 survey sites that are the most legit. Because these sites are no B.S., you may not earn as much as you would like in one sitting and it will take some time and dedication.

Keep in mind that doing surveys isn’t recommended as full-time work. Surveys are more of a side-hustle to your full-time or part-time job, or even your full-time business.

Pinecone Research

Mini disclaimer: I was unable to provide a link to Pinecone Research, due to the fact that this panel is referral-only. Read on to find out more!

Pinecone Research has the most legit and authentic survey site and is even backed by the massive American information & data firm, Nielsen. Pinecone pays $3 per survey and there is no minimum amount for cash redemption. Cash redemption is via Paypal or check by mail, and payout through the Paypal option will arrive the next business day Although, Pinecone has total legitimacy and easy cash payout, their membership is a bit more exclusive. You must search for the Pinecone Research signup banner in order to join. Sort of like an Internet scavenger hunt. There are even some periods where they do not accept those who signup to join.

Opinion Outpost

Opinion Outpost doesn’t play around when it comes to surveys. In fact, they send about 5-10 surveys to your email everyday, so there are a lot of chances to earn. Plus, you don’t have to wait until a survey is sent to you through your email. On Opinion Outpost they have you complete some pre-survey questions in order to match you to some that you may be qualified for. When you earn a minimum of 30 points, you can redeem any gift cards that they offer. If you want to redeem cash, you’ll have to earn a minimum of 100 points (or $10) to payout to Paypal. Keep in mind that you may not qualify for a bunch of surveys before you find the one that’s right for you, and there are some you may be rejected for because they have received enough answers from individuals with your demographic.

Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie is similar to Opinion Outpost when it comes to having to push through a lot of unqualified surveys in order to find the ones that you and your demographics qualify for. Which doesn’t make it a scam, because the payout through Paypal or e-Gift cards is pretty legit. I have to say they do have some good gift cards to choose from other than Amazon. I did notice that every point is worth one cents, and so in order to reach your $10 payout, you would have to reach 1,000 points. But if you’re truly dedicated to the side hustle of taking surveys, than the 1,000 points will come in no time. Plus, Survey Junkie offers a chrome extension that matches you to surveys based on your web surfing activity.

Swagbucks

This site instantly won over my attention and potentially my heart with that $10 signup bonus. Swagbucks gives you a wider variety of ways to earn money other than taking surveys, such as watching videos, shopping online & search the web. Things you usually do for FREE. If that isn’t impressive, then gift cards to Walmart, Amazon, Southwest Airlines, Celebrity Cruises, Kohl’s or Visa Rewards may be your cup of tea. Swagbucks even offers coupons to big time retailers such as Target, Best Buy, Macy’s & more. Of course there are downsides to everything that seems like the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Swagbucks is unfortunately not available in every country, being only limited to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom (Great Britain, Australia, Ireland & New Zealand), India, Germany, Portugal, France & Spain. It also takes quite a bit of time to earn points in order to see real cash earnings.

Inbox Dollars

Inbox Dollars has a different system of reward, that may or may not motivate users to earn more. Instead of points, you will see the total cash you’ve earned through surveys, surfing the web, watching TV & playing games. Good heads up: Inbox Dollars is another side you can receive a signup bonus for. That will make you your first $5 on the website, but unfortunately you will need to earn a minimum of $30 to redeem your cash. Payout is via Paypal, Gift cards or check by mail.
